No. Paying TFF's invoice only settles the debt for the days the vehicle was already uninsured. It doesn't provide any insurance going forward. If the vehicle is still active without its own insurance, new fee days keep being added, even after the old invoice is paid.
It's a natural assumption: the invoice is paid, so the matter should be closed. But TFF isn't an insurance company, and what you paid is a fee for days already used up, not a premium for days to come.
What the payment actually does
The payment closes that specific fee, for the period it covers. It changes nothing about the vehicle's status in the vehicle register. If the vehicle still has no insurance and hasn't been notified off the road, every new day counts as another day owed, and sooner or later the next fee arrives.
How to stop the next one
Do one of two things right away: take out insurance in your own name with an insurance company, or make an off road notification for it with the Swedish Transport Agency if it isn't going to be used. One or the other has to be in place – paying the old invoice alone is never enough.
